On the 3rd of June, the residents, relatives and staff came together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

After months and months of preparation, the day came together, and the weather stayed sunny during the garden party which was held at The Limes.

The residents dressed for a party and everyone who attended were asked to wear a hat. Some hats were donated by family members, for which we were very grateful. The resident enjoyed a buffet style lunch which was served prior to the party and then the party began, complete with Union Jack decorations, music and beverages.

Everyone involved in the day commented on its success and how much they loved every moment. Many thanks go to the people who came together and made this day, one to remember. There are many photos of this day, which are available to see in the Jubilee Photo Album, please ask the office if you would like to see it.

Oh, what a day!

We certainly had fun.

We smiled and we laughed

Under the rays of the sun.

Together, we sang along

To Perry Como and Vera Lynn.

We all clapped our hands

In between sips of gin.

Together, we shared a smile,

We put down our brew

As The Limes came together

And danced the Agadoo!

Thank you to all who joined us

For The Platinum Jubilee,

We celebrated with Queen Elizabeth

And had a fantastic Party!
