Valentines Day

Valentines Day 2020:

In order to celebrate Valentines Day 2020, some residents were asked about their loved ones (wives/husbands/sweethearts) and what their most precious memory was with them. The answers that the residents gave were put together in the form of a letter to their loved one. These were then displayed on the wall with the residents permission so that family, friends and others could read them if they wished to. Many residents really enjoyed thinking back to their younger days; they really enjoyed reminiscing.

The residents were also asked what they thought the secret to happiness was. Their answers were written on a blackboard and a photograph taken, these were also displayed on the wall so that everyone could see what the secrets to happiness were.

Valentines Day 2021:

This Valentines Day decorations were put up throughout the homes, that included hearts, hearts and more hearts! There was some lovely feedback about the decorations from everybody.

We celebrated Valentine's Day 2021 with a more upbeat outlook this year. The residents were asked who their celebrity crushes are. This spiked many conversations among the residents and staff and a display was created.

We also held a love song quiz which eventually developed into a sing along and a dance with all staff and residents taking part.
