Due to COVD-19, there were many restrictions in place which unfortunately affected our Christmas at The Limes. However, despite all of this, the staff at The Limes aimed for each and every resident to have the best Christmas that they could.

Despite the restrictions, some decorations were still hung at The Limes and some residents helped to decorate the Christmas Trees.

There was a restriction on visitors which meant that we could not have any outside entertainment this year, but the staff organised a Christmas Sing Song. This restriction also meant that the residents could not receive their annual visit from Brookfield Primary School, however, the children did send a beautiful and very thoughtful Christmas card to The Limes.

During December The Limes were visited by The Derby Secret Santa Scheme. This Scheme has been running for a few years now and gifts are donated to The Limes every year.

A few days before Christmas day, the residents were visited by Santa and his helpful elf and were all presented with a gift from his workshop. This is also an activity which takes place every year. The residents conversated between themselves, discussing who Santa could be!

On Christmas day the residents woke and opened their presents (if they had managed to wait!) and played Christmas themed games. All of the Residents sat down together to celebrate Christmas and eat their Christmas dinner which was served with a glass of wine, if the residents wished to have one. There were lots of full tummy's after their Turkey dinner with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding with brandy sauce - All home made of course!
